Joe Prunty age 15
I have worked with my grandmother in her woodshop
since I was a baby playing with wood, paint brush, and glass of water. By
the time I was four I was helping her build things. Like my grandmother I
started out making furniture. When I was 6 I made a Childs Adirondack
chair and entered it in the Los Angeles county fair taking Best of Show.
I have also made a cherry trophy case, childs rocking chair, and Craftsman
table lamp. Six years ago Granny gave me a Jet Midi lathe and this has
turned out to be the love of my life.
Joe is an exciting young man to be around. Most of the turned objects for sale on this web site are of
his design. Recently at a show he purchased a spinning wheel with his
earnings and is learning to spin. Previously he spun on a hand spindle |
